Nutcracker

Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 October 2026

Nutcracker (heynutcracker.com) is run by Border Zero Marketing Management L.L.C (“we”). Brand work is often confidential before it launches, so here is how we treat it.

The short version

  • Your work belongs to you and your team. Other Nutcracker users see it only if you share it. We improve Nutcracker through automated checks; a person on our team opens your work only to help when you ask, to fix something broken, or to stop abuse.
  • We never sell it, never use it for ads, and never use it to train AI models. Writing and research run only on AI providers whose terms say they don’t train on your data either.
  • When you ask Nutcracker for something, the AI model doing the job receives what that job needs, and nothing more.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete it, at any time.

What Nutcracker keeps

  • Your account: name, email address and profile picture. With Google sign-in we receive these plus your Google account ID, and nothing else.
  • Your team’s work: what you create and upload, so you and your teammates can come back to it.
  • Waitlist answers: your email and, if you choose, your team size and role.
  • Product health: which features get used, errors and server logs. We do not record screens or sessions.

What we use it for

  • Signing you in and showing your name and picture to your teammates.
  • Doing the work you ask for.
  • Email you expect: sign-in links, invites, waitlist replies, and mention alerts you can turn off.
  • Fixing bugs, preventing abuse, and learning which features help.

Google user data

Google sign-in gives us your name, email address, profile picture and account ID. We use them only to create and identify your account. We do not share them except with the infrastructure providers that host the account, and we do not use them for advertising. Nutcracker’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who else handles it

We use these providers to run Nutcracker. Each gets only what its job needs.

  • Hosting and storage: Hetzner (servers in the EU), Cloudflare R2 (files and images).
  • AI models: OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to, plus image, video and audio generation providers (Lumenfall, KIE, ElevenLabs) and TypeSafe. They receive the request and the context needed to answer it.
  • Research: Exa, Brave Search, Jina, SocialFetch and Europeana receive search queries and links, not your documents.
  • Payments: Fungies, our merchant of record, handles checkout, tax and receipts; its payment processor Stripe handles card details.
  • Email: Resend.
  • Analytics and errors: PostHog (EU region) and Better Stack.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and work while your account is open. Anything you move to trash can be restored for a while and is then deleted. When an account is deleted, it can be recovered for 14 days; after that, personal details are anonymised.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account, by writing to [email protected]. You can revoke Nutcracker’s access to your Google account at any time in your Google account settings.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date above. If the change is significant, we tell you in the product or by email first.
