Nutcracker

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 21 October 2026

Nutcracker is built for brand work: strategy, copy, research, images, video and sound. Almost everything a brand team makes is welcome here. This page covers the few things that aren’t. It is part of our Terms of Service.

The short version

Make work you’d be happy to put your brand’s name on. Show real people only with their permission.

Real people

  • Make a real person’s face, body or voice only with their permission, or with permission from someone who can give it for them, such as their agent, employer or estate. Your brand’s ambassadors under contract, your own team and the models from your shoots are all fine on those terms.
  • Pitching a campaign with talent you haven’t signed yet? Name them in the brief and the copy, and use a made-up stand-in for the visuals until they agree.
  • Made-up people are fine, as long as they aren’t recognisably someone real. No face swaps or voice clones of a real person without their permission.
  • Never make content that shows a real person saying or doing something they didn’t, in a way people could believe. That includes fake endorsements. Never make sexual or intimate images of a real person.
  • Writing about real people, researching them and quoting what they’ve published are fine. Don’t use Nutcracker to find, track or profile private individuals.

Content we don’t make

  • Nudity or sexually explicit content, of anyone.
  • Anything sexual involving minors. We report it to the authorities.
  • Content that harasses, threatens or demeans people for who they are.
  • Content that promotes violence, self-harm, terrorism or illegal goods.

Honest marketing

  • No scams, phishing, or fake reviews and testimonials.
  • No false claims presented as news, and no content meant to mislead voters.
  • Don’t copy someone else’s protected work or pass off your brand as theirs. Competitor research and references are fine; copies are not.
  • Label AI-made content where the law or the platform you publish on requires it.

The service itself

  • Don’t attack, overload or scrape Nutcracker, or get around its limits.
  • One account per person. Don’t create accounts in bulk or share a sign-in.
  • Don’t resell access without our written agreement.

How we handle it

The AI models behind Nutcracker have safety filters of their own, so some requests are blocked automatically. If something breaks this policy, we may remove it, pause generation for the account, or suspend the account. For a serious or repeated breach we do this without notice.

Report something
